L. R. (Luke) Chachere DVM
Veterinarian, Owner
     Dr. Luke Chachere established Chachere Veterinary Clinic in August of 1984 after completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at Texas A&M University. Dr. Chachere was born and raised in Dayton and returned home to serve his community as a veterinarian. Dr. Chachere's wife, Julie, is also a life long Dayton resident and teaches school in Dayton I.S.D..  Dr. Chachere is the father of 3 children: Lukas, Elizabeth, and Rebecca. Dr. Chachere and his family are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton. Dr. Chachere is also a four-term member of the Dayton Independent School District Board of Trustees and is an avid supporter of Dayton youth and school functions.

Gretchen Lange
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
     Gretchen has been at Chachere Veterinary Clinic since April of 2000. Gretchen is a long time resident of the Dayton/Huffman area. Gretchen and her husband, Chuck reside in Huffman.  Gretchen likes all types of animals. She owns several dogs, cats, and horses. Her knowledge and skills make her a great asset as a clinic staff member. She is always willing to be of assistance to you either on the phone, at the front counter, or assisting Dr. Chachere with your pet.

Julia Lara
Veterinary Assistant
     Julia is a hard working member of our staff. She graduated from Dayton High School in 2006. Julia has lived in Dayton since 2001 and is fluent in Spanish and English. Julia has been a member of our stafff since the Spring of 2008.


Casey Strickland
Veterinary Assistant/Kennel assistant

     Casey works part time while attending college. Casey is a 2009 graduate of Dayton High School and looks forward to meeting you and taking care of your pet. Casey loves dogs and horses. She competes in rodeos across Texas.


Lukas Chachere 
Veterinary Assistant

     Lukas is currently a first year veterinary student at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science in May of 2010. . He loves to show calves and care for animals. He has exhibited his cattle throughout the State of Texas and in other states as well. He has been very successful.  Lukas works at the clinic during the summer and whenever he can during the school year. Lukas assists Dr. Chachere with your pet or assists with the care of your pet in the kennel.

Elizabeth Chachere   
Receptionist

     Elizabeth is enrolled in the Surgical Technician Program at San Jacinto Junior College. Elizabeth works at the clinic on the days she is not in class. She does a great job of answering the phone and working the front desk. She was an active member of Business Professionals of America, Dayton FFA, and the National Honor Society at Dayton High School.  She also enjoyed playing Volleyball, Softball, and running track. She enjoys working at the clinic and taking care of your pets.


Rebecca Chachere 
Veterinary assitant/Kennel assistant

     
Rebecca is Dr. Chachere's youngest daughter and our youngest member of the Chachere Veterinary Clinic Team. She has always helped in the kennel, but officially started working in the Summer of 2005. Rebecca is a senior at Dayton High School. Rebecca loves animals and enjoys assisting in the care of our animal patients.
